Red Hat Enterprise Linux Release Information

The Red Hat Enterprise Linux™, Release 4.8 is now supported for use with ftServer System Software for the Linux Operating System, Release 3.0.8.0.

Upgrading from Releases Prior to 3.0.7

Prior to starting the upgrade of Red Hat Enterprise Linux the Stratus version of crash must be removed. In order to remove the Stratus crash package execute the following command as root:

rpm -e lsb-ft-crash 

Edit Required in the /etc/sysconfig/ipmi File After an Upgrade

The ipmi file has the correct information after an Upgrade as IPMI_SI=0 is preserved. This problem is documented in the Release Notes Known Problems section.

Error Messages When Core I/O Enclosure Returns to Service

Bug ftl_kernel.79612 was fixed indirectly and is no longer a problem. This problem is documented in the Release Notes Known Problems section.

Error Message During First Boot After Linux Installation

This problem (ftl_redhat:81890) has been resolved by RedHat and is no longer an issue. This problem is documented in the Release Notes Known Problems section.

The ifup Command Does Not Return Slave Network Interface to Service

Bug ftl_lan.81076 was fixed in 3.0.100. This is no longer a problem. This problem is documented in the Release Notes Known Problems section.

Upgrading or Restoring Stratus ftSSS

If you want to reinstall the same ftSSS version that is currently installed, use the following steps to remove the currently installed ftSSS packages:

# rpm -e --nodeps --allmatches crash `rpm -qa | grep lsb-ft | 
grep -v eula_display`
# rpm -e --nodeps lsb-ft-eula_display
